Matthew 25: 14-30

  • Stewardship is a principle of Faith.

  • Stewardship is caring for the things God has placed in our hands.

  • Everything we have or are, as a steward, is given to us by God and is lent to us to be used in the kingdom of God.

Malachi 3:8-12

A delightsome land or cursed with a curse?

What a tithe is:

A tenth means tenth.

  • Genesis 14: 18-20

  • Hebrews 7:2

Tithing is a first fruit principle:

Abraham gave tithes of all.

  • Proverbs 3: 9-10

A directive, command, not an option for the child of God.

The question: Gross or Net

  • Matthew 22: 15-22

Your tithe is not just 10% of your increase.

Tithing is a principle that has its roots in faith.

 

It is good to have knowledge, but knowledge alone cannot save.  Only knowledge applied can save (James 2:19).

 

The tithe belongs to the Lord:

  • Leviticus 27:30

Tithing is a principle of paying not giving.

  • I Timothy 3: 14

Tithing should be brought into the church, your local church (The house of the Lord).

 

Offerings:

  • Luke 6: 38

Jesus stood by the treasury and watched, he commented she had given more than all the rest (Mark 12: 41-44).

 

The stewardship principle in giving:

  • Hebrews 13: 8

  • Matthew 17: 14-20

  • James 2: 14-17

  • Hosea 10: 12

The non-tither, inconsistent tither, consistent tither:
